Denver International Airport to Winter Park is about 90 miles and usually takes an hour and a half to two hours. We run west on I-70 out of the city, exit at Empire, then climb US 40 north over Berthoud Pass and drop into the Fraser Valley. Winter Park is the closest major ski resort to Denver, which makes it the easiest same day arrival of any mountain we serve.

Berthoud Pass is the whole story on this route

Berthoud Pass tops out at 11,307 feet and there is no tunnel under it. The road switchbacks up one side and down the other, which is fine in September and a completely different job in February. This is the highest pass on any route we run and it is the single reason people give up on driving themselves to Winter Park. Our drivers cross it constantly through the winter, the vehicles are set up for it, and if the pass closes we sit it out with you instead of cancelling.

Pickup at DIA is curbside. We track your flight against your flight number, so we know when you actually land rather than when you were scheduled to. In summer this is the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park from the west side, and we do one way drops for hikers on the Continental Divide trails.
