Chasing Rabbits Wedding Transportation

Nobody gets dropped at the front door of Chasing Rabbits. The venue is in the Solaris building at 141 East Meadow Drive, and East Meadow Drive is a bus and pedestrian street. Vehicles use the Solaris porte cochere, or the Vail Village parking structure directly across the street, and guests walk the last stretch. That is the first thing a driver needs to know about this address and the reason this page exists.

The Solaris porte cochere, not East Meadow Drive

Solaris has its own underground garage for people who drive themselves. For a group arriving together, the porte cochere is the drop. There is no room to sit there and nothing on the street for staging, so our drivers unload, pull away and hold elsewhere until the planner calls for the return. Solaris has been a pickup or drop on more than 20 of our bookings since 2022, so the approach is not new to us.

In winter the drop is the same. The chauffeured Sprinters and SUVs we send are all wheel drive, which is less about Vail Village itself and more about the Frontage Road on a snowy night.

Welcome parties and after parties finish late

Chasing Rabbits is indoor, open year round, and gets booked for welcome parties and after parties as often as for the main reception. The Rabbit Hole function room takes up to 250, the Moon Rabbit speakeasy seats 55, and listings put the whole building somewhere between 250 and 400. Those two uses mean the same thing for us: the pickup matters more than the drop.

Guests arrive in dribs and drabs on their own schedule. They leave when the music stops, all at once, and it is late. So we plan the return around your closing time, not a guess. For a party with a few dozen guests lodged outside the village, one or two Sprinters loop between the porte cochere and the hotels for the last hour and a half, then make a final sweep after the room empties. One van per 40 to 50 out of village guests keeps the wait at the curb short at that hour. An SUV for the couple means they can leave when they want to, not when a van is full.

Who needs a ride at all

Most Vail Village hotels are a walk from Solaris, and we will tell you that rather than sell you a shuttle for a block at the Sonnenalp. The rides are for everyone else: Lionshead is a few minutes along the Frontage Road, Cascade Village a little further, and Avon or Beaver Creek are 15 to 20 minutes each way. If the ceremony is elsewhere in town, we run the ceremony to Solaris leg as a continuous loop until the ceremony site is empty.

Give us the event type, the headcount, the hotels and the time the room closes and we will plan the night around it. To get started, request an event quote, or see how we handle wedding transportation across the valley. Guests flying into Denver are covered by our Denver Airport to Vail service.
