Eagle River Inn Wedding Transportation

Minturn's Main Street is also US 24, and the Eagle River Inn is on it at 145 N. Main Street, with the river at its back. It is a riverside inn with its own restaurant and catering that hosts weddings of up to 120, and guests stay in the inn itself. That last fact does most of the planning for you: on the wedding day, almost everyone is already where they need to be.

Main Street is the highway

The road through Minturn is narrow, with angled parking down both sides, and the inn's own lot is listed as on site with some of it paid. A 14 passenger Sprinter needs a clear spot to unload, so we agree the exact stopping point with the inn and your planner ahead of the weekend rather than improvising in front of the restaurant. In winter US 24 is a mountain road, and every vehicle on our side of the booking, Sprinter or SUV, is all wheel drive and chauffeured.

Getting there from Interstate 70 is the Minturn exit and a few minutes south on US 24. Vail Village is about 12 minutes away, Avon about 10, Beaver Creek Village about 15. The inn puts itself at about 35 miles from Eagle County Airport, which works out to roughly 35 minutes of driving.

Rides at the edges of the weekend

Because the block sleeps on site, the vehicles earn their keep around the main event rather than during it.

• Airport transfers in and out, matched to flights.
• Overflow guests in Vail or Avon who need to get to the inn for the ceremony and back after the reception. For 30 or 40 people in one Vail hotel, a single van making two timed trips each way covers it; split across Vail and Avon, add a second.
• A rehearsal dinner or welcome party in Vail Village, which is two or three vans out at a set time and back at another.

Minturn also has The Barn Minturn, whose guests are pointed to the inn for lodging, so a Barn wedding with an inn block is a short in town hop we can cover with one vehicle.

The inn does not publish its season or whether the event space is indoor or outdoor, so settle the date and layout with them first.
