Grand Hyatt Vail Wedding Transportation

Two miles separate the Grand Hyatt from Bridge Street, and those two miles are the job. The hotel, which many people still call Hotel Talisa, has 285 rooms and more event space than anywhere else in Vail: ceremonies for 250 indoors or 200 on the Gore Creek Garden lawn, cocktails for 800, receptions for 300 inside or 250 outside, with a tent available on top of that. A wedding that size fills the hotel and spills into Vail Village and Lionshead, and all weekend long people want to be on the other end of Westhaven Drive from where they are.

Westhaven Drive ends at the front door

Of all the big hotels in Vail this is the one with the least friction for a vehicle. Leave the South Frontage Road West at the Cascade Village exit, follow Westhaven Drive to its end, and the hotel's own porte cochere is in front of you. No pedestrian mall, no restricted street, no walk from a parking structure, and Cascade Village has a public garage for anyone who does drive. Our Sprinters pull in, load and loop back out to the frontage road without any backing or shuffling.

We have made that run more than 60 times since 2022, nearly all of it airport transfers for hotel guests, which is why our drivers know that the private Cascade chairlift loads right at the hotel and that the drop is busy with skiers on a winter morning. Westhaven Drive is a short mountain road and it holds snow; every vehicle on our schedule is all wheel drive.

What a Cascade Village weekend looks like on our schedule

Take a 250 guest wedding held entirely at the hotel. Saturday needs no vehicles for anyone sleeping on property. Friday does. A welcome party in Vail Village is about 6 minutes away by road, so three 14 seat Mercedes Sprinters looping between the porte cochere and the Vail Village parking structure move about 42 people each lap; run them from 45 minutes before the start until about 90 minutes after and the whole party gets there and back without a taxi.

Saturday's vehicles are for the overflow. Sixty guests in Lionshead or the village means two Sprinters leaving their hotels an hour and then half an hour before the ceremony, and the same two vans looping them home once the band stops. One SUV stays on call for the couple and parents all day, because somebody always needs to go back for the rings.

The other distances are short. Avon is about 11 minutes and Beaver Creek Village about 16, so a split block in Avon is not a hardship. Eagle County Regional Airport is roughly 36 minutes.

Tell us the guest count, where the rooms are and what each evening holds, and we will lay the vehicles against it. When you are ready, request an event quote; our wedding transportation page describes how we run the day, and the Denver Airport to Vail lane handles guests coming over the pass.
