Harvest at the Sonnenalp Club Wedding Transportation
Why the 10pm music cutoff decides the fleet
At Harvest the music stops at 10. That one fact sets the size of the return fleet, because 125 people who were dancing at 9:58 all want to leave at 10:05, and the nearest hotel with a real room block is a 10 to 25 minute drive away. We do not run a trickle of pickups here. Every van is parked in the lot by 9:30, doors open, and loads as the room empties. With three 14 passenger Sprinters and a 22 minute run to Vail Village, a full guest list is back at its hotel within the hour.
The arrival side is easier to schedule. For a Vail Village block, three Sprinters making two timed trips each, half an hour apart, deliver everyone to the lawn in about 90 minutes. If the rooms are split between Vail and Beaver Creek, two vans work the Vail side and one works Beaver Creek so the two groups walk onto the lawn at the same time. The couple and parents get their own SUV on their own clock.
Up Berry Creek Road
Harvest is the clubhouse restaurant at the Sonnenalp Golf Club, 1265 Berry Creek Road, in the Singletree part of Edwards. It is run by the same family as the Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail Village. The route is public road the whole way: off Interstate 70 at the Edwards exit, a short stretch to Berry Creek Road, then a steady climb through Singletree to the club. There is no gate to clear and no pedestrian zone to walk through. Harvest has valet and a big lot, so a Sprinter unloads at the entrance and pulls out of the way for the one behind it.
The climb is nothing in July. On a shoulder season date it is the kind of grade where all wheel drive stops being a selling point and starts being the reason you got home.
Edwards, Beaver Creek or Vail
The front lawn seats 125 for a ceremony, and receptions run 125 inside or 175 on the decks and lawn, with some listings putting the outdoor number near 200. Couples put guests in one of three places.
- Edwards, with the Inn at Riverwalk the closest option. A short hop and the simplest shuttle.
- Beaver Creek Village, a 12 minute ride. Avon itself is about 9.
- Vail Village, about 22 minutes, the longest leg and the one that makes the 10pm plan matter.
Eagle County Regional Airport is also about 22 minutes, which makes Harvest one of the easier valley venues for guests flying in direct. Lawn ceremonies run during golf season; the club does not publish exact months, so check your date with your planner.
Tell us where the block is and we will size the vans and build the 9:30 lineup around it. To get a number, request an event quote. Our wedding transportation page walks through a typical day, and flying guests can use the Eagle County Airport to Vail lane.
