The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch Wedding Transportation

Daybreak Ridge is the whole story at this hotel. The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch sits at 130 Daybreak Ridge, at the top of a steep switchback road on the Bachelor Gulch side of Beaver Creek Resort, behind a gate, with valet only parking and no way to self park. Every decision about moving a wedding here comes back to that road.

We know it well. Mountain Ready Rides has driven to and from the Ritz more than 170 times since 2021, nearly all of them airport transfers and hotel runs for people staying there, so the climb, the gate stop and the rhythm of the porte cochere are routine for our drivers.

Two gates onto one hill

There are two ways to reach Daybreak Ridge and both involve a guard. You can enter through the main Beaver Creek gate in Avon and continue through the resort, or use the Bachelor Gulch gate off Village Road and Daybreak Ridge. Either way our vehicles are checked against a list, so your planner needs the wedding name and our vehicle details ahead of time. We hand those over well before the weekend; nothing gets sorted out at the gatehouse on the day. Allow a couple of extra minutes per run for the stop, more on a Saturday when several events are arriving at once.

Why most of the shuttle work is uphill from Avon

The room block is on property, and those guests do not need a van all weekend. The hotel takes up to 350 seated, though, and a block rarely covers a wedding that size, so the overflow lands in Avon and Beaver Creek Village and rides up for every event. From Avon the run is about 12 minutes, from Beaver Creek Village about 10, from Vail Village about 25. Eagle County Airport is about 32 minutes and roughly 30 miles away, and that airport leg is where most of our history with this hotel comes from.

Say 250 guests with 100 of them below the hill. That is a little over seven loads in our 14 passenger Mercedes Sprinters. Four vans working the Avon and village hotels up to the porte cochere clear it in about an hour before the ceremony, and the same four run an open return until the last table empties. Couples and parents usually want an SUV of their own for the day so nobody is waiting on a van.

Daybreak Ridge in winter

The hotel is open year round, with its peak from June to October, so plenty of weddings here land in snow. The switchbacks are the reason everything we send up carries chains and runs all wheel drive, and the reason a January schedule gets a fifth van and wider pickup windows rather than the summer plan copied over. Zach's Cabin, the resort's winter only cabin above Bachelor Gulch, is reached by resort sleigh from the Ritz area, so a Zach's Cabin dinner still starts and ends at this porte cochere as far as we are concerned.

The porte cochere belongs to the valet

At the top, the valet team owns the lane. Our drivers pull in, unload and move off so the hotel's own cars keep flowing; we do not sit in the porte cochere between runs. Guests who arrive with us never deal with the valet at all, which is one of the quieter reasons the Ritz works well with a shuttle. The hotel requires a day of planner, and that person is who we work with on gate lists, pickup points and any change to the timeline.

Ceremony spaces on property range from the Mountainside Terrace at 250 down to Anderson's Cabin at 65, and which one you pick does not change our plan. The hill does. Send us the hotels below the gate and the headcount at each and we will work out how many vans the weekend needs. Go ahead and request an event quote, see how we handle wedding transportation more generally, and look at the Eagle County Airport to Beaver Creek lane for arrivals.
