Zach's Cabin Wedding Shuttles

Zach's Cabin is a restaurant on the Bachelor Gulch side of Beaver Creek Mountain, looking out at the Gore Range, and it hosts weddings of up to 100 in winter only. Guests do not drive to it. The resort has historically carried them up from the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch area in a sleigh pulled behind a snowcat, and that ride is the resort's to run.

Our part is the road below it.

The sleigh leaves on the resort's clock

A snowcat departs when the resort says it departs. If a van of 14 guests is still winding up Daybreak Ridge at that moment, those guests miss the ride and the wedding waits. So every pickup we set for a Zach's wedding is built back from the resort's load time at the base, with the last van landing a comfortable 15 minutes early.

Take 100 guests, 40 of them staying at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch and 60 in Beaver Creek Village. The Ritz guests are already at the base. The 60 from the village are five Sprinter loads, which is three vans on one departure from the hotels about 10 minutes down the hill, arriving together. Arriving together is the point. A loop does not work here because the sleigh does not loop.

Coming down is the reverse. The sleighs return as one group, so the same three vans are waiting at the hotel when they do, with one holding for whoever lingers.

Daybreak Ridge in the dark

Bachelor Gulch is gated. Vehicles come in either through the main Beaver Creek gate or through the Bachelor Gulch gate off Village Road and Daybreak Ridge, and in both cases the gatehouse wants to know about the event and our vehicles before the night. From the gate, Daybreak Ridge climbs in steep switchbacks to 130 Daybreak Ridge, where the Ritz porte cochere is valet only with no self parking. We unload there and clear the lane.

This is a winter road, at night, on snow, every time. Everything we send up it is all wheel drive with chains aboard, and the descent after the reception is slower than the climb. Avon is about 12 minutes below the base and Vail Village about 25. Eagle County Regional is about 32 minutes, and the Denver drive in winter gets extra margin for the weather on the way up.

Tell us your date, the resort's sleigh times once you have them, and where guests are staying, and we will schedule the vans around the mountain's timetable. You can start now and request an event quote, see how we handle a wedding transportation weekend, and send Denver arrivals to Denver Airport to Beaver Creek.
