Spruce Saddle Lodge Wedding Shuttles
Spruce Saddle Lodge is the big room on Beaver Creek Mountain: a two level day lodge at the top of the Centennial Express and the new gondola, taking up to 220 for a wedding and as many as 500 across both floors. Nothing that size moves quickly through a gondola. The upload before the ceremony spreads out as guests arrive, but the download after the party is a queue, and that queue is what our schedule is built around.
The gondola absorbs arrivals; the download does not
The resort includes the gondola in the package, or a chartered shuttle up the mountain road, and runs that leg itself. Our work starts and ends in Beaver Creek Village, where the lift loads, inside the Village Road gate. Going up, guests can trickle in and ride as they arrive, so a steady loop from the outlying hotels works better than one big timed convoy. Coming down, cabins unload in batches for as long as it takes to clear the lodge, so our vans need to be standing at the village pickup before the first cabin arrives and stay until the last one empties. We write the return as a window, not a time.
Where the 220 are sleeping
The Beaver Creek Village hotels hold most groups, and those guests walk to the lift. A wedding this large nearly always has a chunk of the block in Avon or in Vail, and those are the people we carry to the base.
- Avon to the village: about 8 minutes
- Vail Village to the village: about 20 minutes
- Eagle County Airport to the village: about 30 minutes
Take 220 guests with 100 in Avon and 40 in Vail. The Avon group is seven or eight loads in our 14 seat Mercedes Sprinters; three vans circulating from the Avon hotels to the village drop clear that in under an hour. The Vail 40 fit two Sprinters leaving together at a set time, since they have the longer ride and arrive as a group. After the download, the Avon loop keeps running until the base is quiet, and the Vail vans wait for their group to gather before setting off. Every van and SUV we run is all wheel drive and reserved for your party alone.
The Wedding Deck is a short walk
Ceremonies for a Spruce Saddle reception are at the Beaver Creek Wedding Deck, the stone amphitheater just east of the lodge, a short walk away, so the whole on mountain day happens on one gondola ride up and our vans sit idle from the upload until the first cabins come back down. Season is late June through September, and the Deck's own season runs mid June to mid September.
The gate on Village Road wants the wedding name and a guest name from your planner before our vans arrive; after that it is a quick stop. Airport days at this size mean several Sprinter runs a day in the week before, so our Denver Airport to Beaver Creek page is worth reading alongside this page. Send us the hotels and the headcount at each and we will plan the loop. Then request an event quote, and the wedding transportation page has the broader picture.
