Beaver Creek Wedding Deck Wedding Shuttles
Nobody arrives at the Beaver Creek Wedding Deck by road. It is a stone amphitheater on the mountaintop, just east of Spruce Saddle Lodge, looking out at the Gore Range, and the way up is the gondola. Beaver Creek Resort runs that leg. What we run is everything below the gondola base: hotels to the village, the village to a reception off the mountain, and the airports.
The upload window is the whole schedule
The deck seats 200 to 220 and is open from the middle of June to the middle of September, ceremony only. Because guests ride up in cabins, the resort gives your planner a window for loading, and our pickups are built backwards from it. Guests who miss the window are not late to a church, they are at the bottom of a mountain. So we land everyone at the base with margin, and we are parked and waiting when the cabins start coming down afterwards. All of those times come to us from your planner, and we hold them to the minute.
Three receptions, three different second legs
Where dinner happens decides how much we drive after the ceremony.
- Spruce Saddle, a short walk from the deck. The whole day stays on the mountain. Our vans go quiet until the download at night, then stage near the gondola base for the ride back to Avon or Vail.
- Saddleridge. The resort's own shuttles carry guests between the mountain venues, so again our work is the valley ends of the day.
- A village hotel such as the Park Hyatt. Guests step off the gondola and walk to dinner. Our next job is the late return for anyone sleeping outside the village.
Who actually needs a van
Most Wedding Deck guests sleep in Beaver Creek Village and walk to the gondola. The ones who need us are in Avon, eight minutes down Village Road, or in Vail, about 20 minutes east, plus everyone flying in. Eagle County Regional is around half an hour from the village.
Say 180 guests with 60 of them in Avon hotels. Two Sprinters shuttling between those hotels and the gondola base, 14 at a time, have the Avon group at the bottom of the mountain in about 45 minutes, comfortably ahead of the upload. At night the same two vans run an open loop back down to Avon until the last guest has left.
Every one of those vehicles, Mercedes Sprinter or SUV, goes through the guard post on Village Road on the way up from Avon. The resort wants the wedding and the guest name on its gate list, and your planner gets our vehicle list from us early so that is settled before the weekend rather than at the barrier. Inside, we drop at whichever village point the resort has set as the load point for your wedding.
The deck is fully outdoors with no roof, so ask your planner about the weather plan and tell us if the ceremony moves; the pickups move with it. Give us the reception venue and the hotel list and we will build the valley side around the gondola. To start, request an event quote. Our wedding transportation page sets out how a weekend is staffed, and guests landing at EGE can read Eagle County Airport to Beaver Creek before they book.
