Beano's Cabin Wedding Shuttles
A Beano's wedding has two handoffs, both in Beaver Creek Village, and our whole job is to be on the right side of each one at the right minute. The cabin sits at the foot of Grouse Mountain on Beaver Creek Mountain, holds up to 150 for a lawn ceremony, fireside dinner and dancing on a tented deck, and is reached only by the resort's own mountain shuttle, or by snowcat or sleigh on the winter dates. No outside vehicle drives up. The season is mid June through September plus a few winter weekends.
Handoff one: getting 150 people to the mountain shuttle
The resort includes the ride up in the package and names a load point in the village for your date. Guests sleeping in the village hotels walk to it. Everyone else rides with us, and the timing is simple once the load time is fixed:
- Avon is about eight minutes below the village. Fifty guests in Avon hotels means two Sprinters, 14 seats each, cycling from the Avon hotels up to the load point for the 45 minutes before the mountain shuttle departs.
- Vail Village is roughly 20 minutes. A Vail block gets a fixed departure time rather than a loop, and arrives in the same window.
- We aim to have the last van unloaded 10 to 15 minutes before the resort's departure, so nobody is holding the shuttle for a late arrival.
Handoff two: the ride down, in the dark
When dinner and dancing finish, the resort brings the group back to the village. We get the expected return time from your planner and the resort and have the Avon vans waiting at the drop before the first mountain shuttle arrives, with a third van on call if the whole group comes down together instead of in waves. On a winter date the group arrives off a snowcat or sleigh and the wait outside is cold, so the vans stay close with the heat on rather than parked somewhere down Village Road.
Village Road and the gate
Village Road climbs from the Avon roundabouts to a gate at the entrance to Beaver Creek. Every commercial vehicle is checked there against a list the resort holds, so we give your planner our vehicle details before the weekend and they go on it. Past the gate the drop is a hotel porte cochere or the village drop zone the resort has designated as the mountain shuttle pickup, whichever your planner confirms. Village Road in February is one of the places where it matters that every Sprinter van and SUV we own has all wheel drive.
The airport weekend
For a 150 guest Beano's wedding the valley legs are a handful of van hours. The bigger piece is arrivals: several Sprinters from Denver on the day most guests land, and SUVs for families flying into Eagle County Regional, roughly half an hour below the village. Those runs go straight to the hotel, and from then on most of the group walks.
The same arrangement, resort shuttle on the mountain and our vans below, applies at the other Beaver Creek mountain venues: Allie's Cabin for smaller groups, Saddleridge and Spruce Saddle Lodge for others.
If Beano's is booked, give us the hotel split and the load time and we will take the village side. The first step is to request an event quote. Our wedding transportation page covers the full weekend, and the Eagle County Airport to Beaver Creek lane for guests landing at EGE.
